Yes, this title is a play on ‘peaches and cream’ and might be a little on the nose, but here’s why I think it works.
When I was painting this, I spent a lot of time changing the background. I just couldn’t get it to feel like it belonged.
Then one night, I had a dream that I was working on this painting. I couldn’t see the background clearly, but I could see my paintbrush moving the paint around.
After that, I still didn't know what it would look like, but I knew I’d be able to finish it, because I had already done so in my dream.
